General Meeting – November 2025 – Home Antenna Show & Tell

Please join RWK on Monday November 10th for our General Meeting. 

Traditionally, our November General Meeting is “Show & Tell”, where members have a chance to show off their projects.  But this year, we’re going to do things a bit different. 

Last month’s Mobile Radio Installation program was very informative, with 12 different people showing their mobile installs.  Someone suggested that we needed to do that for home stations (specifically antennas) too, so that’s what we’re going to “Show & Tell” next Monday (Monday November 10^th).  But, like last month, we need your help before the meeting!

We would like you to send us some pictures of your home antennas.  Make sure your pictures are clear and show the details of the antenna(s). We will pick the best ones and put your pictures on slides and you will have an opportunity to describe them during the meeting.  Please be prepared to talk about any special challenges you may have when putting up that antenna.

Just use your phone to take some pictures and email them to photos@k5rwk.org.  Individual pictures are fine – there’s no need to package them or put them in a document.  Just add any description in the email.  Our crack team of experts will pick the best ones to use on the big screen.  Hopefully it will be a fun and educational experience.

Get to snapping and send us those pics! And we look forward to seeing you on the 10^th.

In-person VE Testing begins at 5:30 and the RWK Social Hour begins at 6pm.  Please enjoy coffee and cookies and chat with other members!  If you have radio questions, please be sure and stop by our Radio Operating position – we’ll try to show you some new things and help you get answers.  At 7pm we will begin our main program. 

As usual, the meeting will be In-Person and the main program will be simulcast on Zoom for those that do not want to attend in-person.  We will also have a recording available on the K5RWK.org website after the meeting is over.

Please wear your RWK Nametag!  We have lots of members and everyone needs a little help in matching callsigns to smiling faces.  If you can’t find (or don’t have) your RWK nametag, we will have blank paper nametags and you can order a replacement for a nominal charge.  I’d like everyone to introduce themselves to at least two members that they haven’t previously met face-to-face!
