Richardson RACES (Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service) is an organization authorized by the FCC and attached to the Richardson Emergency Management Office.  Their function is to provide emergency communications and assistance in times of civil emergency, inclement weather, or at any time the may be called upon to perform their mission.

ARRL VE Amateur Radio License Exams will be held by The Richardson Wireless Klub on the third Thursday evening each month!

2013 exam fee is $15. Bring picture IDs (driver's license or passport) and your current license and one copy of your license (if applicable).

You will need pencils and a ballpoint pen. A calculator is permitted so long as the memories are blank.

We encourage recent members to discuss their particular ham radio interests with RWK officers or directors. Participate on one or more committees by helping to plan upcoming sessions, work on special events, become part of the Klub's RACES group, assist with City of Richardson monthly siren tests, help with program planning, outreach, etc.
The more you participate, the greater will be your enjoyment of our amazing hobby!
